🍄 Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit
Instructions – Fully Colonized Bag (Ready to Fruit)

🎉 Welcome!

Your grow bag is fully colonized and ready to start growing mushrooms. Just follow the steps below and you'll be harvesting in days.

Please look to start the kit within 2 weeks of receiving it. If this is not an option, the kit can be stored for longer periods in the fridge.

• Fully colonized oyster mushroom grow bag
• This instruction sheet

📍 Step 1: Cut & Activate

• Inspect the bag for any green or black mould. If present take a photo and contact us.
• Cut out the square drawn onto the plastic bag using a clean knife or scissors.
  (Do not remove the bag—mushrooms grow right through the cut.)

🌤️ Step 2: Place Your Bag

• Put the bag in a spot with indirect natural light (like a well-lit room or near a window).
• Avoid direct sunlight or overly dark spaces.
• Ideal temperature: 15–24°C.

💦 Step 3: Mist Regularly

• Mist the cut area 2–3 times a day using clean water.
• Keep it evenly moist, not soaking.

 

⏱️ Step 4: Watch Them Grow!

• Pinheads (baby mushrooms) will appear in 5–10 days.
• Mushrooms grow fast—double in size daily.
• Harvest when caps are about 5–10 cm wide and edges begin to flatten (usually 5–7 days after pins appear).
• Twist gently or cut at the base.

🔁 Step 5: Repeat!

• After harvest, rest the bag for 1 week.
• Keep misting daily to encourage up to 2–3 more flushes of mushrooms.

⚠️ Troubleshooting:

• No pins? Increase humidity and mist more often.
• Mold? White fuzz = good mycelium. Green/black = contamination (discard if severe).
• Mushrooms drying out? Add a humidity tent or mist more often.
